The University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Economic Sciences offers a three-year bachelor’s degree in Finance, International Investment and Accounting. This English-language programme is designed for students who want to gain a solid understanding of financial systems, accounting principles, and international investment mechanisms. It combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills that are essential in today’s global financial environment.
The programme focuses on the mechanisms of international financial markets and the tools used to navigate them. Students learn how economies operate on a global scale, how companies make investment decisions, and how financial systems influence business strategy.
Key areas of study include international financial instruments, corporate finance, monetary policy, and financial market analysis. There is also a strong emphasis on currency risk management and the use of modern financial engineering tools.
Alongside theoretical knowledge, the programme provides practical training in areas such as preparing financial reports in accordance with international accounting standards and conducting market valuations of companies. Students also explore methods of optimizing financing strategies and managing currency exposure for multinational corporations.
Workshops and case studies form an important part of the curriculum, giving students the opportunity to apply their skills in practical business scenarios.
The programme has received several forms of recognition, including an international ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) accreditation. This allows students to be exempt from selected ACCA exams after completing certain accredited courses, making it easier to pursue a global career in accounting or finance.
Additionally, in 2020 the programme was awarded the label “Open to the World – Excellence in International Cooperation” by the Polish Accreditation Committee, highlighting its international orientation and high educational standards.
Graduates of this programme are equipped with knowledge and skills relevant to a variety of roles in finance, investment, and accounting. They may pursue careers in banks, insurance companies, international corporations, consultancy firms, or public financial institutions.
The combination of analytical skills, practical financial tools, and knowledge of global markets makes graduates well-prepared for roles such as financial analyst, investment advisor, accountant, or financial controller.
The bachelor’s degree in Finance, International Investment and Accounting also serves as a good foundation for students interested in continuing their education in finance or economics at the master’s level, either in Poland or abroad.
With its focus on international finance and accounting standards, the programme is particularly suited for students who plan to work in global business environments or multinational corporations.
Located in Warsaw, one of Central Europe’s key financial and business hubs, students have access to a dynamic academic environment and opportunities for internships and professional development.
