While it builds on foundational philosophical knowledge, this program is also accessible to graduates from diverse academic backgrounds, providing everyone with a solid grounding in contemporary philosophical, religious, and scientific debates.
The program is crafted with flexibility in mind, allowing students to balance work and education, making it a fitting choice for individuals looking to further their careers while studying. By integrating both structured coursework and self-guided research, the MA supports students in becoming articulate communicators in English, particularly those aiming for academic careers in philosophy.
The curriculum features a comprehensive list of required courses, including Philosophical Trends and Disciplines, Ethical Thought from Antiquity to the Enlightenment, Contemporary Debates in Social and Political Philosophy, Rhetoric and Argumentation, and Business Ethics and CSR. Additional focus is placed on understanding the Philosophy of Karol Wojtyła, Contemporary Debates in Science and Anthropology, and Russian Religious Philosophy. These specialized lectures offer students insights into the latest research, deepening their understanding of key philosophical concepts.
Graduates of the Philosophy, Ethics, and Religion MA program possess skills that open doors beyond academia. This interdisciplinary background is beneficial for careers in law, journalism, government, education, and the non-profit sector. Furthermore, students gain insights valuable to roles such as financial or environmental analysts, human rights experts, social media coordinators, creative writers, and researchers. This MA degree also qualifies graduates to teach in church institutions, as it is recognized as equivalent to a Licentiate.
A distinguishing feature of this program is its emphasis on developing proficiency in both spoken and written communication. The ability to clearly articulate philosophical ideas is fostered throughout the program, preparing graduates to tackle complex moral and ethical questions in various professional fields.
The program is tuition-based, with a fee of 4300 PLN (approximately 1000 EUR) per semester, along with a minor recruitment fee and a cost for the student ID card.
